Bedtime Meditation/Visualization

Guided Visualization, especially before going to sleep, can help us relax, release tension, create calm, peacefulness, and a sense of security. This state of relaxation can help us use our imagination to create our dreams. It has countless potential benefits.

Imagery can be used to stimulate our creativity and help us reach new solutions to difficult problems. Imagery can be used to develop qualities in ourself we would like to have — it’s like emotional body-building — we can cultivate courage, patience, tolerance, humor, concentration, self-confidence or any other quality we would like to embody. Imagery can also be used to stimulate our immune systems, and thus to influence healing and inner peace.

Teaching children this at an early age is a gift we give them for creating inner peace, and a better future for themselves and the planet.

BED TIME GUIDED VISUALIZATION

_

Guided Visualization, especially before going to sleep, can help us release tension, create calm, peacefulness, relaxation and a sense of security,  freeing us up to use our imagination and create our dreams.

This shift in focus allows our body and mind to refresh itself and lets us use our coping and problem-solving abilities better. It has countless potential benefits.

The first skill to learn with imagery is using it to relax through the breath. So many of us stop our breath when we are frightened, scared or stressed. We need to remember to take deep breaths which open our energy flow again and help us think more clearly.

Beyond relaxation, imagery can be used to stimulate our creativity and help us reach new solutions to difficult problems. Imagery can be used to develop qualities in ourselves that we'd like to have — it’s like emotional body-building — we can cultivate courage, patience, tolerance, humor, concentration, self-confidence or any other quality we would like to embody. Imagery can also be used to stimulate our immune systems, and thus to influence healing and inner peace.
